What is a multi-turn actuator and what are they used for?
A multi-turn actuator can absorb the axial forces of the valve and needs more than one full turn to perform a full valve stroke. In most applications, the rotary fitting must perform significantly more rotations and therefore, for example, wedge slide valves are often equipped with a rising spindle. The output shaft of the multi-turn actuator in series SA is therefore designed as a hollow shaft so that a spindle can be inserted.
